It was after starting photography as a serious hobby that I dreamed dreams with beautiful scenes and magical colors. Before that my dreams were mostly colorless, flat, and abstract.
I started photography during my PhD studies, and the beautiful Swiss sceneries were a real motivation. My first camera was a Canon point-and-shoot which produced low quality images with a lot of noise. It was only good for practicing how to compose a shot. Then I bought a Canon 450D with a couple of lenses. Now, my gears consist of two cameras. The first one is a full-frame Canon 5D Mark II with three lenses: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L, Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8, and Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L. I have also a more handy and portable mirror-less Sony NEX-5T.
Unfortunately, I have very little time to take pictures these days. Those very few shots are also mainly taken by my phone camera. I hope that this will change...
